Kissa-8 (FREE DAYS)

HI Friends......Hello.....there r lots of free rides of coloumbus in film industry.....ha ha ha.....i mean to say there r lots of ups and downs in our industry......some time u hv work and some time not....some time u become choosey and time u hv no choice,just only work......as for as my concern,i m choosey....choose only good work....i hv my own definations of good work.....thanks to god there is very less moments when i don't get my choice of work.....its my belief film r not made, they convert into reality with the grace of God....vaise to all things happens with helps of God but its my belief specially films which completed, hv bonus grace......As films r recreation of life,as god creates life,v(the filmmakers) recreates life......stories r work of fiction bt deffinatly close to many people's story.... Till the Date i Hv worked in 5 Films from Assistant director to director bt only 3 films hv released, 2 hv lack of funds....hope start soon....

so, come to my last point,there r always the days in which u hv nothing to work.... u hv choice to spend time according to urself...its upto u ,u waste or gain something for future....its my friendly advise to upcoming assitant directors to work hard in industry ,specially in those days in which u hv no work.... i pass my time in these days to watch movies(as its part of work),read upcoming writer's script, discuss new idea's with them,to meet new producers, to know different characters and get knowledge about my field through books and net.....v , the industry people,watch movies in different perspective such as camera angles,story,screenplay,actor's chemistry,cinematography,choreography,costume designing,background score,music designing,art direction and specially the performances of actors and making style...... so most of the time i can't enjoy the film as film.....some story tellers really inspires and u totally indulge in films they made......So dear Friends,according to me free days r the days,which u can compare to the days before the exams.....if u study well in those days ,the exams will be enjoyable and if not then.....u can understand.....its upto u.....this time the kissa i want to narrate u was negative,so decided to not to narrate.....and just pass my view about free days......they can be good...bad...worst.............love u all.........hv a nice day.......next time come with new kissa....bye....hv a nice day...

• Dear Friends, Hello, Ganpati vesarjan is proceeding in Mumbai & if u r here, u can hear of chantings "Ganpati Bappa Morya Pudhche Veshe Lovekaria" & Ganpati's Aarti & see dancing devotees on road with new generation's DJ version & beautiful Idol of Lord Ganesha in different gestures & postures in different characters.With Ganesha's blessings Lets start to read new kissa........
  


• Once a time, i was working in U.TV doing serial "Hero"(Children favourite fantasy serial).Sumit Pathak was doing main lead hero(a man with super power) & we became good friend.One of my another friend was builder & he was going to launch a stage show for his clients(home purchasers).He requested me to come with some t.v personality at show & he will give membership to him in his club,which he is going to make with new complex soon. I believed on his words & promised to Sumit Pathak with same offer.He came with me in show at my words.Later, neither the complex came into existence nor the club.
  
• This situation ashamed me in front of Sumit Pathak,as i m man with words.I left the serial & never faced Sumit after that incident.
  
• So man, here or in any business,u do a promise at ur own,not at another person's word & try to Identify the right person.May Lord Ganesha bless u with health & wealth.See u next Sunday with another Kissa,bye & take care.

Kissa- 6- Mistakes

• My dear friends,Hello,Happy Ganesha Chaturthi,May Ganesha ji fulfills all ur dreams,today i m going to discuss some small Kissas ,where i have learnt from my mistakes.Lets start to read such small kissa's........
  


• I was working in serial lucky, we were shooting at Baroda in a party lawn & temple Hanuman tekdi ,that day Amrit Sagar(son of Anand ji & grandson of Sh. Ramanand Sagar) was directing the episode, he was impressed from my work as i was handling the crowd of 300 people(ladies,gents,child jr. artists) beside my work efficiently.He was appreciating me in front of other crew.Scenes ended & he said pack up slowly,i think i should tell a loud to crowd & i shouted pack up.Suddenly Amrit's gaze ennoyed me, he called me & advised,u know man, here 300 unprofessional Jr. artists r present,to hear ur shout,there will be Bhagdar all around,i realised & said sorry to him. So man don't say loud pack up to crowd.
  


• One of director i worked in Lucky was Mr. X(don't wanna mention name here).So Mr. X's girl friend & live in relationship Ms. Y was working as an designer in same project.She was trying to influence me & my work. As i was dedicated to my work,i was keenly observing costume also & trying to perfection to my work & didn't making mistakes.At last she complained to Mr. X & he dismissed me from my job(Guru Dakshina).I can't change myself but 4 u i advise,man!never take panga with boss's girl friend.

• For few weeks i was working with Sagar's without salary,as i wanna work with them.All crew starting pinching me saying"are ye to free ka banda hai"At last i got salary but after few weeks later.But i learnt from there that "Bina roye to maa bhi dudh nahi pelati".So man,be professional & always charge 4 ur hard work.

• Maintain relations genuinely & without any greed, i m trying to revive.

• In Film Industry there r so many obstacle will come in ur path like sex,drinks,drugs,bear bars,unknown people,so called Fake friends & late night parties-up to u , how can u save ur self.

Kissa-5-Ideas

My dear friends, Hello,today i m going to discuss about various aspects of Serial Field & one Kissa.These aspects r important for those person,who wanna enter in field & also for curious person wanna know about field.

• Daily soaps (daily telecast one episode of serial) takes almost one & half day shooting with editing. If there is no bank(advanced shooted episode before telecast) then there will be work pressure on producer from channel,which reflects on each & every department-14 to 16 hour dailyshoot/Making & dismantling(breaking of sets)/ Manage artist-dates/Costume for artists(purchase,making,hiring)\Food arrangements for60 to 70 unit people/purchase or hire prop./Hireequipments,jr.artist/Changing scripts according to T.R.P(viewership)\Sending shooting tapes to channel before one day of telecast or ready to pay broadcast fee(approx 75 thousand)if same day sending tape/Late payment from channel.
  

• These all aspects force the producer to be stick on writers,creative head,director,cameraman,art director,designer, jr.artist supplier& equipments suppliers & hence all pressure reflect on Creativity.Those who have work, r busy in shooting almost 28 days a week,making money but neither getting time for families nor creative satisfaction.All feels like machine in daily soap after few days of shoot.Anyway lets start kissa--------

• With these work pressures ,illustrated above, I was also struggling to concentrate on creativity rather than become mechanical, I was chief assistant,doing serial Lucky,shooting in Baroda(in Gujrat),where huge sets of caves,desert,lakes,one artificial plane,bazaar's were placed, In pre production which we have done at Natraj Studio{Andheri(E)},Mumbai,I have taken keen interest in searching costumes,swords,props,looks of character,set designs,--etc. through surfing & searching old magazines,which i have purchased from church-gate streets.I also taking keen eye on script & other creative work.Nissar pervej ,director of lucky had become familiar to me & now encouraging & supporting to me & my ideas. Now ,i also had become familiar tojargon & some realities of field.
• 
  
• At shoot, I was in charge of prop. & also giving creative ideas,whoever needed,when i gave idea toNissar ji,some time he accept & some time he refused but i was not hopeless & exploring my creative ability,thinking regular new ideas & increasing my creative vision.

• One time, when in a scene a coffin was used, in which Lucky (Gautam rode,lead actor playing lucky) hided & reached at villain's den.Nissar ji was not satisfied with coffin's shape,the art director had made & busy in arguing with him.Inner & outer look of coffin was not looking ancient according to Nissar ji's perspective & looking new one.Art Director made it old one through amber powder,but he leave it as it is from inside then i suggested Nissar ji that we will put one goni sand inside the coffin,Nissar ji is such a person who some time don't answer & reply internally yes or no.Anyway i told setting department that arrange one goni(bori) sand but taking it litely,i don't rechecked the availability as it was not scene prop.

• Scene started,rehearsal was at fulfleshed,Suddenly Nissar ji shouted,"where is sand,Ye tera idea tha na".I was shocked to hear word sand,Meri to sitti pitti gum ho chuki thi,I ran towards setting department as i knew if i will stand in front of him,he will become more & more angry,i thank to god & setting department as sand was ready & scene proceed.

• Later i realised that when two responsible heads of their department r talking then third one should not give idea & if u suggest some thing then ready to fulfill the requirements.

Kissa- 4- Keen Eye (Concentration)

My dear friends , hello , so the finally I m here, one week looks like 1 yr. There is rainy season in Mumbai & i remember 26Th July,2003,a flood in Mumbai, I will tell about flood in detail kissa later. Lets start some another kissa...........

• Again i was new in field & no one knew me in unit. we were shooting a story based on beauty & the beast. In story - Beast(Nirmal Pandey) was so involved with Beauty(heroine's name i have forgotten) that everybody was doing Kanafussi on set about their relationship & boldness in scene,But i was busy watching shots keenly & trying to under stand my job's responsibilities.

• In one particular scene, a situation occurs,where beauty puts out medallion from the neck of beast & he transforms into handsome prince.Everybody was busy doing their duties & enjoying bold scene(as look from their face).

• Suddenly I realize- their should be no medallion in Nirmal Pandey's neck as in this particular shot he has become prince according to story,I as a new comer little scared went to Nissar Pervej ( Director) & told him about mistake & he shouted at me in reply,why u didn't tell before the shoot,Associate (Ravi Bhushan) took my side & told to Nissar ji,"Nissar! why r u shouting on the poor guy,he saved from re shoot.Suddenly I became the Unit Member as before that nobody was considering me the same.

• Later i realised,only & only my keen eye(concentration) had saved shoot as well as money of Sagar's.So man always concentrate on ur work & enjoy the fruit.Bye & take care & ready to read my blog on next Sunday.

Kissa-3 (Infatuation)

• My dear friends, hello, one week has passed & I m here to share a new kissa with all of u, I think no need to be formal now as u r familiar,lets start straight forward.

• Again a kissa from serial hello dollie,first time i was closely working on Huge Sets made of wood,clothes & plaster of paris,huge swords,huge singhasan(where king sits),variety of costumes(as it was fiction & costume drama),lots of caricature getup's,Chroma shoot (where in front of one colour cloth actor enacts & try to put audience in imagination world)Beside all this there was dollie(Karishma , not kapur),a beautiful Punjabi gal with curlie hair,gorgeous round face & with sweet smile,belongs to Chandigarh & playing lead actress (Dollie) in serial hello dollie.

• For few days I was in dreamland & always try to be near to such a beautiful actress like some fan,I have asked all my colleague assistant directors that I only I will give script to dollie,read scene,tell her costume etc.. Dollie also understanding my feelings & always call me for script reading & discussions.

• Associate director Ravi bhushan watching this whole drama keenly,one day he call me & told that she is very clever & smart(which everyone should have to work in film industry) & I remember exactly the words he used that "Abe kahan chipka rehta hai,tere jaise chattison ko bech sakti hai vo"Be professional & concentrate on work.

• His advise became truth ,when an incident happen to me ,Dollie's b'day came,i was feeling that i m very close to her,all assistants r also asking to me that "tujhe to jarur invite karegi"I was also feeling the same but she invites only director,producer & her close friends.This incident broke my illusion.

• Later I realised that this is the part of the business & i should also be professional,that is my duty to pay attention towards each & every character belong to script & latterly I did the same & that ended my infatuation.love u all.Thanks for reading the blog.

Kissa-2 (Ego)

• My dear friends,Hello, there r lots of kissas during working in film & t.v industry,One of them I rembember, again is when I recently joined in Sagar Arts,working in serial(princess dollie aur uska magic bag) children's favourite serial,My work as a new a.d(assistant director) was to give script to actors & call them on set.

• Director Nissar Pervej ask me to go & send Newly Joined Character Actress(not mentioning name here) I went in makeup room, she was sleeping there,I knocked the door & tell her to come at set.

• Actress reaches at set & created hungama(show tantrum),she shouted at set,"nobody knocks at door,everybody came in mkp. room & call me."She complain to director, some of ur A.D came & shout without knocking that director is calling,there r no manners to behave with actors. My director ask her," who was the a.d,but she was not ready to tell name.I came forward & tell the director that it was me but i behaved properly. Director ask me to say sorry,it was not my fault but i said ,sorry(on director's words).chapter was closed & shoot start, director was happy from me that i obeyed him & it mature our relations.

• Later I think over the incident & realised that when i was distrebuting script in mkp. room, I was paying attention towards Dollie(lead actress Karishma) & discussing scene with her & not giving attention towards that newly came character artist, it hurts her ego & later she create the scene.One thing we should burn in our life -Ego

Kissa 1 (Religion)

  Lets start some interesting kissa's , i remember,i was working with Sagar Arts as an assistant director in serial Hello Dollie,We were shooting in chandiwali studio(Cave),i was new in the field,rarely understand the jargon of the field,we were shooting a scene,where in front of shankar ji's statue ,some fight happens. I m an atheist & worship lord shiva,4 me shiva is my friend,my guardian,my pathpardarshak.
  
  Haan to mein bata raha tha ke we were shooting the scene of fight,scene ended & suddenly i was shocked to hear a voice from our cameraman-shankar hatao, shankar hatao,i feel pain of heart & anger to hear & think that time ,how can somebody speak like that to my Shankar ji,how can?
  
  But later i realise that that was the work pressure,Scene khatam ho gaya tha aur next scene ke shifting ke liye shankar ji ka statue hatana jaruri tha so our cameraman rishi da was shouting at setting department. After all ,all is fake in this industry from mandir set to huge building.May god bless u with health & wealth.
